Hiking Kaena Point

Matt and I decided to take the kids hiking last weekend at Kaena Point. It was beautiful as always but very hot. We kind of forgot that there is no shade for the 4 mile round trip hike. I held Abby int he front carrier and she did great. Jack on the other hand was quite miserable. He was so hot he actually walked in Matt's shadow to cool down and jumped in the first body of water he could find. Too bad it was at the very end of the trail.

Abby is 2 months old

I am a little late on the posting but Abby turned 2 months on Friday the 13th. She got her shots the same day and handled them like a champ. Matt held her hands and the nurse finished before Abby could actually let out a scream. All I could see was her trademark mad face which gets all scrunched and very red but it took about 30 seconds for the scream to come. After a bottle she was asleep before we got to the car and slept while we had dinner at Chuck's in Ko Olina to celebrate her 2 months. She is 10 pounds 8 ounces and 23 inches long. I think most of the weight is in her cheeks:)

Story Time

This was our first attempt at putting Abby in the Bumbo. Her neck isn't quite strong enough for long durations but she can hold it up just enough for a story from her daddy.

Smiling

Although we have been blessed with many smiles from our happy little girl, this was the first glimpse of one caught on camera. Hopefully there will be many more to come!

1 month

It has been quite a month. We are enjoying every minute with Abby. She is growing so fast. She is 8 pounds 12 ounces and 22 inches!

Bath Time
