The end of January

We have been definitely been enjoying the weather and also enjoying the time to relax at home this month.

We have been enjoying our movie nights:)

And beach days...

Hanging around the house.  There may have been a day or two when we were in PJs until mid day...

Hughes Martin Family Pics

For my mom's birthday ( in May) we got her a family picture session.  Although we took the pictures in July, we used them for Christmas pictures so I haven't posted them until now.  It was a much sunnier evening than we expected and there were big waves, which meant it was pretty crowded too!  It wasn't quite the Windansea photo shoot we expected but we got some good pics anyway.

Go Chargers!

Although the season didn't quite get off to a great start, the Chargers made it to the playoffs after a series of unbelievable wins.  It has been fun to see the city get behind them and enjoy the play off run while it lasted.

We had the Archards, my parents and my brother over for the game.  We had blue and yellow nail polish from Abby's party so we painted nails and Kaiya made bracelets to show our spirit and "bolt up".

The kids bounced and played all afternoon.

Go Chargers!  Looking forward to next season:).

Enjoying Nature

We had some free tickets to the Zoo or the Safari park that had to be used by early January and the kids decided they wanted to go to the Safari Park.  We usually go int eh morning but went in the afternoon this time.  We didn't see many animals but the kids had fun exploring.  It was our first trip without the stroller so the kids were fairly worn out by the end of the day.

Lorikeet Landing is always a hit:)

The lions too.

I didn't get a picture but we finally saw the Cheetah run.  It was pretty cool to see run in person.  At the end of the day we went on the tram.  We saw giraffes right up close and the sun setting was beautiful of the Safari park.

The next day we went for a hike by our house and found lots of little creatures.

Zack also found lots of rocks that he carried around with him.
