Abby's first time actually in the ocean...I can't believe it took this long! She didn't love it at first but once she got used to the water she loved it.

She's Mobile

Abby has been climbing on things and people and has started inching on her belly towards objects of desire...usually any paper product, cups or electronics that she shouldn't have. Uncle Matt modeled how to army crawl for Abby and she is on her way.

Our 3 year anniversary

We just had our 3 year anniversary on July 2nd which was our last day in Paris. We celebrated our anniversary and a great trip with walk around the city, picnic in the park and chocolate fondue. Not too bad! It has been a great 3 years and we are looking forward to may more!!

Paris

After a long night and an over night ferry ride we had an okay last day in Greece trying to kill time. Our late ferry made it in too late to see another island so we shopped on the coast and watched a movie- at least it was in English. Almost everyone in Greece speaks English but Paris not so much.

We had a 3 hour flight to Paris and took the metro to the center of Paris. We basically have a little apartment that we are staying in and it is a great location! As soon as we got settled we got out to see the sites and tour the city. We saw the Eiffel tower, the Notre Dame and did lots of people watching today. It is quite impressive and took a nice bus tour of the city. The city is beautiful and it is really hot but I am not complaining. I have traded gyors for baguettes and am content...I just love food...and wine too. I am really happy to have decent wine. The wine in Greece made me wonder what I ever liked about wine and that takes a lot! Matt and I sat at a cafe to recharge after walking many miles and site seeing. We enjoyed some wine, relaxed and are getting ready for dinner soon. Still loving our trip and missing our pumpkin! 3 days to go:)

Santorini

We are still loving our vacation! We spend our last day in Santorini on a 4 wheeler and and visited some wineries and beaches. It was such a blast. We got delayed a few hours on our ferry tonight so we are going to get some extra hours in Fira, the center of the island, which is beautiful. Tomorrow we hope to get to another island for a day trip before we leave Greece for good..I have to get as many gyros as I can in the next 24 hours. We are really excited for Paris and totally recommend Greece, especially Santorini for anyone who is looking for a fabulous vacation.
Hope all is well! G & G Martin give Abby tons of kisses for us!! I can't wait to squeeze her chubby little body.
The video is when we are at the top pf the island looking ou tat the ocean..caution if you get motions sickness:)

Greece

We spent 2 days in Athens and walked around tons of tiny little streets and ate great food! We saw the Parthenon and lots of other ancient sites. We had a nice hotel with easy access to all we wanted to see. We had a great happy hour (that lasted a few hours) with a view of the Parthenon and the sunset. Unfortunately we had to leave for the airport at 3:30 in the morning. We got to Santorini at 6:30 and I was hurting! Luckily our hotel had a nice pool that we got to rest by until our room was ready. The main town in Santorini is exactly what you would expect of Greece. The hotels and restaurants are built right into the cliff and the views are amazing. We had a wonderful dinner during sunset last night. The food here is sooo yummy! We have eaten tons of Greek salads and Gyros. I think I could live off them. We are going on a boat trip today to a volcano, hot springs and a fishing village, Oia, on the other side of the island where it is supposed to be even more beautiful. Tomorrow is our last day here and we are renting mopeds to tour the island and the beaches.

We have been missing Abby, of course, but the Martin's send us lots of picture updates. Every baby we see we go crazy over and wonder how old they are and talk about Abby. We are so thankful for the time together but wish time could stand still so we would stand still so we wouldn't have to miss Abby.
