Summer Fun

We have been having lots of fun this summer and on the eve of school starting it is fun to look back on the activities.

Beaching it with the neighborhood in Coronado.

Celebrating Blake's birthday on Libelle Ct.

Engineering forts.

Playing jacks.

Neighborhood night out!

Hair salon...a favorite:)

Matt decided to get a pool for the backyard since the kids were loving the water.   It was a great idea and he poured lots of time and energy into it but it never quite warmed up and came down quickly.  It was a great ideas but we all agree that Matt is banned from buying inflatable water toys.  Some of you might recall the inflation station:)

The kids decided they wanted to have a luau and so we cracked some coconuts and danced the hula.

We attempted a selfie with eh super moon but failed.  It was beautiful and the picture does not come close to doing it justice.

The kids rode their bikes to the park.

Z has been playing with his legos a lot

Abby made this mote for her brother,  "I love Zack" and put in his lunchbox... so cute!

More legos

Snuggling watching some netflix.

Zack cleaned his room and arranged all his "babies:

Abby had a play date with her new Kindegarten friends to get to know each other before the year started.

I got to have dinner with the Ducotes.  it was a short but sweet trip and cant wait to meet the new baby!!!!

So excited to get home!

Date night with the kiddos:)

Abby picked out some presents that she wanted at the bookstore.  She picked all Chemistry sets... just like her daddy.  As a side note...one of the boxes seriously says for BOYS!?

Kids practicing their letters

Matt's softball team won the championship.  The kids and I went to cheer them on and we so proud of Matt and the team.

An afternoon swimming with the Potters!

Z seriously got the vacuum out and stared vacuuming.  He did the kitchen and living room.  It was adorable and much appreciated!

More legos...

SDC Ballet Girls

Abby had her last ballet performance for a while in July. She started playing soccer ( I'll eventually get around to posting about that) and after almost 2 years we were both ready for a break. She enjoys dance class and her friends especially but it seemed to be getting a little stale.  We were on vacation leading up to the show but she wanted to be in the big performance.  She had 2 shows that day after we got home form PA and I am glad we decided to do it because the girls had soooooo much fun playing together.

Sophie and Abby met in preschool and have been great friends through dance for the last couple years.

In motion...

Coloring...

Getting ready to perform!

The cutest little ballerinas alive.

I watched formt eh wings and snuck a little picture of the girls.

Post show feeling very proud.

An adorable bunch of girls!

After the show the moms took the girls for frozen yogurt.

I may not have ever seen Abby happier.  She was in her element with her friends and they were mixing flavors and making soup and grossing the parents out.  It is the moments like this that make me realize how big she is getting.

These girls were on cloud nine and I couldn't help but think about the memories being made for them all!

A few weeks later we went to Sophie's house down the road from us and spent the day at the pool.  I am so happy that Abby has made some good friends and that they have wonderful moms:).
