Pizza and Piggies

Tonight was out last night before our mini vacation to NY and Matt leaves right after we get back to start work...boo!  We wanted to go see the animals again and Matt had to have Jo-Jo's pizza before he left so we combined the two.  We got pizza and took it to Paulis' farm down the road and had a picnic with the pigs (and cows and chickens and goats).

It is such a gorgeous setting.  I could help but take tons of pictures. I tried to cut it down but there are still a lot!

Adorable!

Playing in the Creek

Matt, Bill and I took Abby to the Creek for the first time an the boys showed us how to catch crayfish.  They look like little lobsters and were bigger than I expected.  It was a very fun adventure.

So pretty!

Five Years Ago...

I was reminiscing about our wedding with our 5-year anniversary coming up on July 2.  I put together a slideshow of my favorites.  We just sat and watched it with Matt and his parents.  I feel so lucky to have married such an amazing man with a wonderful family that has welcomed me into their family!

Hershey Adventures

A trip to PA would not be complete without a visit to Hershey Park's Chocolate World.  It never disapoints!

Of course, an added benefit is that Chocolate World is the only place that makes chocolate milk (I am standing by this for as long as I can!).

Zack's first sip...pure joy!

We were not paying the $50 + fee to get into Hershey Park but we did splurge for Zoo of America:).  It was fun to see some different animals like bison, elk, bears and wolves etc.  The kids fed the ducks and Z. got his finger chomped by one...not a fan.  Aren't they so cute snuggling though!

Visiting Great Grandma

A must for every trip home is a visit to see Great Grandma.  It is about a 2 hour trip and the kids did really well on the way there and slept on the way home, thankfully.  It was a nice trip but exhausting spending 4 hours in the car and keeping a 1 & 2 year old happy and pleasant while we visited with great grandma and ate lunch at the restaurant on site.

Vacation Highlights: Week 2

We have been keeping very busy and having lots of fun exploring.

There is a great farm right down the street with pigs and goats and chicken and great samples too!

More backyard fun!
Uncle Bob and Chuck came down to visit.  We had a nice BBQ and went out for breakfast the next morning.  Abby was, "So glad my uncles were here".

Matt and I have been able to sneak away for some of our own adventures.  One evening we went to see a Harrisburg Senators game, the local minor league team.  They had bar stool seats in the outfield with a great view.

Matt and I headed to central PA for a tubing adventure (thanks to Groupon) and did some sightseeing around the region.   It was a such a beautiful and relaxing float down the Juniatta river.

Dirt!

Abby and Zack have certainly been enjoying their time in the dirt.  They have dug in the bushes in the front and backyard and are loving exploring together.

Monkeying Around

Matt scoped out some fun activities for the kids and was so excited to take them to Monkey Joe's.  It was a huge warehouse filled with bounce houses of all shapes and sizes. Abby really enjoyed the obstacle course and figured out how to do it on her own.  It was fun to see her try and luckily the inflatable bouncers are pretty forgiving.

The kids (and adults) bounced all afternoon and can't wait to go back soon.

Summer Solstice

It has been summer as far as we have been concerned for a while.  Now as of the 21st, it is officially summer.  The kids have been enjoying the backyard and playing in the mud and water.  Matt, Bill and I sat for over an hour while they played with the hose and filled up different containers with water.  It was amazing.  They were playing so well.  No fights. Nothing in the mouth.  Just enjoying being outside and playing and we took full advantage and just let them go.

Abby got totally naked to channel her free spirit!

Abby in Pennsylvania

Abby got lots of special time with daddy and G&G Martin in Pennsylvania.  They went to Jubilee Day, a huge one day fair right on main street.

 They played in the backyard.

She also had a blast visiting the pool, going to seek out new playgrounds and being the center of attention!
