When it rains it pours!

We thought we were soon to be done with insurance, after the car accident 3 weeks ago that totaled my car, and ready to buy a new car this weekend. Instead, we were greeted by a flooded downstairs when we got home last night. A pipe under the sink burst and was spewing water all day. Our entire first floor was under 1-2 inches if water. We started moving stuff out immediately and trying to keep the kids occupied. I changed each of them twice because as they were "helping" they slipped and were drenched! Not exactly the relaxing evening we had planned after a busy week. Thankfully, grandpa Don came to the rescue and took the kids to dinner, which totally helped out. The damage control crew came and dried out the house and we currently have about 30 industrial fans and dehumidifiers which makes it inhabitable. We will know more about what our future holds on Monday when our insurance adjuster will be available. From what we gather it could be about 4-6 weeks that we'll be in a hotel. Wish us luck!

Here are some pics of the water and then the destruction after with all the fans.
