Date Night at Chuck's

Thanks to Groupon we got some money at Chuck's to use.  Since it is in walking distance we got a few.  Matt was leaving on Sunday for his Math conference in Baltimore and an extended trip to see family and friends, so we finally made it over to use the first of 3 and get some quality family time in before his trip.

Matt and I even got a moment of time together when the kids were playing soccer or something of that nature with a soccer ball.

Breaking all the Rules

Last night we walked down to lagoon 4 to take pictures for the Staffaronis since this is the last week their family will be together on island... sniff!  The Weidas came and since the kids and I are without daddy this week they tagged along and "helped".  We had to go a little later in the evening to make sure we could get some good lighting and that meant the whole evening routine was shot so we made it count!   We picnicked at the beach with everyone, which included a few bites of chicken strawberries,  handfuls of popcorn and a few cookie bribes thrown in throughout picture taking.  We didn't finish taking pictures until after sunset and we were already past bedtime so we just enjoyed the evening stroll and there was no way I was doing baths once we got home so we did a quick bath and pu the kids to bed.  Abby decide since we were breaking all the rules that she might as well try and climb in bed with me last night and it worked.  By the time I realized she was there she was asleep and so we snuggled:).

Even though I wan't planning on taking pictures of the kids, I couldn't help but snap a few.

It is hard to tell but the kids only managed to get 1 of 4 possible shoes on and this is actually better than usual:)

More Goodbyes...

I am beginning to have a love hate relationship with Pokai Bay.  We love going but recently the only time we have made it out there for a beach day it has been for a going away party.  Today was one of those days.  The Staffaroni family is just the latest to move back to the mainland.  Mike is leaving this week and Heidi and Jackson are tying up loose ends and staying until December ( yay- since I can't say good bye yet!).

Matt left this morning to go to a Math conference in Baltimore for the week so the kids and I packed up and went after naps today.
Uncle Shelley was so great and took the kids in the water.

Abby, Jackson and Brooke are all within 6 months of each other.  They had so much fun playing in the sand and running around all afternoon.

Zack joined in too.

Cute but messy!

More Wedding Fun

We traveled over to the Kualoa Ranch for the wedding of Fern & Jasen, who Matt plays softball with.  It was such a beautiful venue overlooking the ocean.  We had a fun night out with the Weida clan.  It was so nice to catch up with lots of friends and dance the night away celebrating love!

This is the day...

That Zack is EXACTLY the same age as Abby was when he was born.  Almost 16 months.  I remember when we left Abby to go to the hospital she was my little baby still and in an instant as she walked in to meet her younger brother she all of a sudden became this older, big sister.  It's hard (let's be honest, terrifying) to think of having another infant right now so it looks like Zack will stay our baby.  Two little monkeys are keeping us very busy these days and although I love snuggling with newborns, I am more than happy to enjoy other people's babies- at least for now;).

Our family almost 16 months ago
What a difference 16 months makes!  This was a very rough hair phase for Abby:).  We still have our ups and down with the curls but it is much better these days!  It is crazy to see the pictures side by side.  For as much as the kids look alike now, there is very little resemblance between Abby and Zack at 16 months...at least form these pictures.

Father-Daughter Night

Since Abby is such a big girl these days, Matt figured it would be fun to take her to his softball game. We prepped her the night before and she was very excited. Matt found her a green shirt ( It is actually Zack's) to "cheer on the home team".   Matt talked to a few of the girlfriends of other players and they agreed to hang with Abby while he was playing.  She loved being with the big girls! I think all in all it worked out great. She even stayed up until 9 (2 hours past bedtime) to BBQ with the team and came home to tell me all about it.

ready to go!

Abby's First Book

Abby loves when we read "No David" to her and usually usually tells us what is happening on each page and what David is doing wrong.  The other night she grabbed the book and started reading it to me and asking me the questions like I usually ask her. I had to get it on video so this is Abby reading her first book to Matt.
