Family Fun

The Zane crew came to visit us.  The three little cousins had fun playing and splashing in the water.  I didn't get a decent picture of the 3 of them though:(.  It was a great visit and I am so thankful for the kids to get the opportunity (and us) to spend quality time with family.

Abby & Dylan put the candles on Aunt Jean's birthday cake and Abby took a little for herself
Check her out.  Eyes locked on the cake!

Road Trip to the Chiavacci's

Abby and I headed to Baltimore to visit my friend Laura from high school.  It was an easy drive there and a fun adventure for the girls.  Z stayed and bonded with G&G.
Laura's kids, Jack (7) and Katie (4), are so adorable and fantastic with Abby!  The kids played while we got to catch up on the last 6 moths since we saw each other in Hawaii (The Chiavacci's come every February and we always look forward to it!).

Jack told Laura that Abby had told him that she loved him but we couldn't tell his sister, Katie because she would be jealous.  Abby even told me today that she loves Jack:).

Jack is so cute with Abby and they have this sweet little relationship.  Jack was climbing in the tree and Abby was trying to follow him...sweet baby forgets she is 2 and has a broken arm.  She got stuck.

Playiong the Uke one handed
Despite my better judgment, we went to the pool.  I thought Abby would be able to stay relatively dry in the baby pool and with a bag on her arm.  She was so excited to play with her friends she dunked her cast-in-a-bag a few times but it managed to stay dry so I thought we were in the clear and them I looked and saw the bag full of water...oops!

Auntie Laura was drying her cast once we got home and it seems to be just fine!  Unfortunately, this was upstairs and Abby decided to walk back down on her own and is not quite calibrated to walking with her new cast and took a tumble down the stairs form the midpoint.  She didn't seem to be too bothered by it but everyone else in the house was horrified momentarily.  Nobody wanted another ER trip!

After dinner we got some ice cream. YUM!
After the kids went to bed we had such a fun night catching up and talking about everything under the sun with Laura and her husband David.

After coffee and breakfast, we headed to Inner Harbor and visited the National Aquarium.  After Abby fell down the stairs and tripped twice walking to the aquarium we decided it was best to get one of their hiking backpacks for Abby.  It ended up being perfect because she could see everything and she was so content being carried.

The last 15 minutes or so Abby walked and she would only hold Jack's hand.  Those 2 are something else.

So sweet!

Z's New Do

I am not sure how many times Zack is going to experience a first before Abby but he just got his hair cut and that makes once that he has a first before big sister!  His little frizz mullet starting getting more and more out of control in the humidity and I guess it was just time.  Honestly, it was probably time a month ago but I just wasn't ready.  I found a place that did kids' cuts close to and had planned to take him next week but he was just playing in his crib rather than napping so I figured it was as good of time as any.

As we got there the it was actually better than I anticipated.  They had toys to keep the kids busy and lots of kids so must have a good rep.  The 3 boys that went before Zack had to be held down to get their cuts and I began to wonder how Z would do.  I never really figured either of the kids would mind much but you never know. He sat down got his cover on and she started cutting away.  He did great.  No tears and he was pretty relaxed.  I am really glad no straight jacket was necessary!

Playing, getting ready for his first cut

A side view..no mullet
Getting buzzed
He looked so grown up after his cut enjoying his special treat!  I love it:)
One handsome little guy!

Library Story Time

One day this week, Grandmom and Grandpop took Abby to story & music time at the library after dinner.  It was a a fun activity for them and I was more than happy to stay home with Zack and relax a little.   Abby had a blast and can't wait to go back.  Good thing this is one activity she can still do with a cast.

Love this picture & Dr. Seuss!

Grandpop's New Toy

Grandpop just got a new riding lawn mower and took the kids for a ride around the yard. Lots of fun for everyone!  The kids played forever on it:).

Keeping Busy

Matt left almost a week ago and we miss him terribly.  The good new is that work is going well for him and he is keeping busy and so are we!

Pre broken arm we kept busy wrestling, splashing in pool, playing the sand and visiting every playground in a 15 mile radius.
Revenge! Abby is laughing just in case you think we are bad parents:)
Playing in the pool
We went to Wegman's to shop and eat and Z found out he is a fan of pizza and wings
We went to the Rossello's pool and had a lovely afternoon cooling off and catching up!  Uncle Matt and Abby were checking out the butterflies.  Matt and Amy drove up tot see the kids since they aren't coming to the wedding..so sweet and I don't even have a picture of them all:(We are looking forward to the wedding.

Checking out another new playground
Post broken arm we taking it day by day.  The day of the accident Abby had a roller coaster of a day after getting her cast.  She decided to eat her dinner ( that she didn't eat during dinner) out on the porch alone.

Everyone was back in the swing of things the next day!  Abby woke up and had fully adjusted to her cast and it hasn't bothered her since. YAY!  Other than her being off balance and falling more she has been such a trooper!

A & Z Clips

I have a few random clips of the kids. Zack as he was starting to walk. He is already so much more confident and agile than he is in this clip but it is cute to see him toddling all over. Abby and Zack climbing around at Monkey Joe's ( pre broken arm, of course) and the two little bear cubs rolling around. Zack is starting to initiate some wrestling matches and it is pretty entertaining ( for us at least).
