Road Trip to the Chiavacci's

Abby and I headed to Baltimore to visit my friend Laura from high school.  It was an easy drive there and a fun adventure for the girls.  Z stayed and bonded with G&G.
Laura's kids, Jack (7) and Katie (4), are so adorable and fantastic with Abby!  The kids played while we got to catch up on the last 6 moths since we saw each other in Hawaii (The Chiavacci's come every February and we always look forward to it!).

Jack told Laura that Abby had told him that she loved him but we couldn't tell his sister, Katie because she would be jealous.  Abby even told me today that she loves Jack:).

Jack is so cute with Abby and they have this sweet little relationship.  Jack was climbing in the tree and Abby was trying to follow him...sweet baby forgets she is 2 and has a broken arm.  She got stuck.

Despite my better judgment, we went to the pool.  I thought Abby would be able to stay relatively dry in the baby pool and with a bag on her arm.  She was so excited to play with her friends she dunked her cast-in-a-bag a few times but it managed to stay dry so I thought we were in the clear and them I looked and saw the bag full of water...oops!

Auntie Laura was drying her cast once we got home and it seems to be just fine!  Unfortunately, this was upstairs and Abby decided to walk back down on her own and is not quite calibrated to walking with her new cast and took a tumble down the stairs form the midpoint.  She didn't seem to be too bothered by it but everyone else in the house was horrified momentarily.  Nobody wanted another ER trip!

After dinner we got some ice cream. YUM!
After the kids went to bed we had such a fun night catching up and talking about everything under the sun with Laura and her husband David.

After coffee and breakfast, we headed to Inner Harbor and visited the National Aquarium.  After Abby fell down the stairs and tripped twice walking to the aquarium we decided it was best to get one of their hiking backpacks for Abby.  It ended up being perfect because she could see everything and she was so content being carried.

The last 15 minutes or so Abby walked and she would only hold Jack's hand.  Those 2 are something else.

So sweet!
