Abby has periodically asked over the last year or so to get her ears pierced and we kept putting it off for a special occasion. Grandma Martin wanted to take Abby and it seemed like the perfect opportunity for them to share this special day during their visit. Abby picked purple "jewels".
We told Abby it would hurt and it might be a little pinch. She was very brave and didn't even wince when her ears were pierced ( both times). Later, we asked if she felt the "little pinch". She said it wasn't little, it was BIG pinch.

Our happy girl! She has bee very good about making sure they get cleaned and so far they have been easy to care for.
After the big event the kids rode the train around the mall with Grandpa:)
And then we stopped by Bernardo winery o use a Groupon. It was the beginning of a new found love affair with wineries for G&G Martin. Who can blame them..Wineries are awesome! There weren't many people there an the kids were content to play around the grounds while we sampled:)
All and all it was a great kick off to a wonderful week with the Martins!
