It is so hard to sum up the personality of the little ones but I always like to try and capture some of the essence of what they are like in a moment of time every once in a while because I certainly can't seem to remember it if I don't take a picture of it or blog it:).
Zack is 21 months today. He loves books- No David, Where the Wild Things Are, Good Night Hawaii and lots of board books with cars and planes etc. are currently his favorites.
He certainly has a stubborn side and does not like to be told what to do- still trying to figure out where that came from. On the flip side, he has the most magnetic smile that makes me melt.
Abby and Zack are little copy cats and they mimic noises, gestures etc. and can entertain each other for a while.
Lately, he has started to sing/ hum Old McDonald had a farm "Eieieio" and the alphabet which is some variation of repeated e's
He is not quite the people pleaser his sister was at this age and has no problem saying no"go" to things
Recently, he learned how to climb out of his crib but only has done it once so far. I would like to keep him in the crib for as long as possible.
Every night he sleeps with a blanket ( usually an old receiving blanket from his baby days). Luckily he is not attached to any, he just likes it to sleep with
MAKING COOKIE/ EATING ICING |
He must have "ice" in his "wabu" (water)
When he wants to do something ( usually go outside, walk, eat) he says uh-uh with an emphatic head shake for yes. Adorable;).
He is starting to recognize colors: green, blue and red primarily and loves letters and knows a, e and i so far.
He knows his routine and is a great sleeper. Last night we were slacking and it was like 7:05 so he got up off the couch, grabbed Matt's hand, took him to get his water bottle and led him to bed for stories and went to bed.
PLAYING WITH HIS NEW GIRLFRIENDS AT DAYCARE |
Grandpa think Z is going to be a little running back. Once he gets a hold of something he never lets it go. He was running with his football and water and loving it.
We love seeing our little guy grow and learn and develop his own personality!
