Abby had her 3 year old check up and got her TB shot so she can go to school. The girl is tough is all I can say. She put out her arm for her shot, took a deep breath and waited for it to be over. I asked it she was okay and she said it hurt but she was ok (head tilt and high pitched voice and all).
Abby weighs 27 pounds and is 37.5 inches. She is still a little mini but she is gaining weight steadily and still growing too fast as far as I am concerned! I still can't believe that she is starting preschool next week!
We went to the dentist on the same day as the doctor and she loved all the attention.
I started this a while ago but never got around to finishing it. Here are some of Abby's latest and greatest:
-We have never had to wonder much about how Abby was feeling. From the moment she was born she was clear about when she wanted to eat, sleep, play etc. and as she has gotten older she has continued to be very explicit. Whether she is "frustrated", "a little bit sad", "so happy" or whatever she still is certainly very expressive about her moods.
-When my parents are here they always say grace and one day we forgot and Abby stopped everyone and said we have to say grace. So we held hands and Abby said, "grace" but we didn't all close our eyes so we had to do it again.
-Abby is a master (well, for a 3 year old maybe??) joke teller. Her favorites:
Why is 6 afraid of 7?
Because 7 ate 9.
and
How do you catch a squirrel?
Act like a nut.
The best part is she tells all of it and laughs at herself, too.
Some other fun comments from Abby include:
"daddy be careful walking down the stairs. We don't want to lose you."
I need a banana or I might die! ( this was a result of a conversation about the life cycle of trees, flowers etc.)
Usually she is pretty right on with words and phrases but for some reason can't get washing machine. She calls it a "mashing waqueen". We haven't really corrected it because it is pretty cute!
-
She got a bat and wiffle ball for Christmas and loves playing baseball! Here is a video of her smashing the ball:).
She also loves to run, and run, and run. Anywhere she can, especially with Grandma Lori.
And she LOVES her brother and is such a great big sister. After her first day of being away form Zack all day she greeted him at eh door and gave him the biggest hug.
And my favorite. She eats apples like her mommy. Totally random!
Side note: SHe picked out her outfit and actually convinced me to let her leave the house in it. Socks and crocs...REALLY?!!
