NYE 2013

The weather has remained in the 70s throughout December and so far into January.  New Year's Eve was another beautiful day and after vegging around in the morning and unpacking from Big Bear we packed up for a day in Coronado.

We stopped by to see the decorations and the big tree in the Hotel Del Coronado.

Matt and I lounged at the beach as the kids dug in the sand, built castles and explored in the rocks.

A very impressive sand castle!

After a relaxing afternoon we had dinner ( a very early dinner)  at the Coronado Brewing Company and the kids ate for free since it was a Tuesday.  We had a delicious dinner and great beer.  I hope we can go back soon.

On our way back to the car the sun was setting so we hurried to get a picture in front of the downtown San Diego skyline from across the bay.  Such a fun way to celebrate a great year in San Diego!

We had no intention of making it until midnight but hoped to make it until  9 o'clock for the ball drop on the East Coast.  The kids crashed by 8:30 and we quietly rung in the new year snuggled on the couch.  I couldn't imagine a more perfect way to begin 2014.  Here's to another great year and all the adventures coming our way!
