According to Abby: Edition 2.5

Ahh 2 1/2...This version of our little Abby is equally delightful and challenging.  Matt made the observation that he hair is a direct indication of her mood.  It is so true-when her hair is neat and presentable she is usually very charming and agreeable.  Once it gets a little frayed so does she and when it is standing on end frizzed out of control...stand back!

She is repeating everything we say and incorporating her favorite phrases throughout her own little vocabulary, which is cute and well, sometimes not.  Recently, after the 142 time she asked me something I replied with an exasperated O-KAY.  The next day she responded with the same O-KAY back to me.  I was floored and embarrassed.  Very unflattering mirror!  I have since been even more careful about what I say:(.  Some cute ones include: this looks like a fun place,  she uses the "I love you mommy/daddy" to her full advantage...so irresistible!

Since Abby was 9 weeks old she has been sleeping soundly through the night.  Just within the last month she has figured out that she can get out of her bed or protest going to sleep!  Ugh.  It is something that I never saw coming since she always went down without even a whimper (for the most part) and now it is like a half hour process. up and out of bed and back and forth  (although just recently she still protests and tries to get us to lay with her she is giving up slowly...)

Along the line of changes, our very good eater has, as of lately, become very picky and eats like a little bird.  Zack totally out eats her (like she ate when she was his age).  She has totally become a toddlerexic and we have given in to endless supplies of PB&J so she doesn't waste away.

Potty training is for the most part completed.  She is doing great through the day and night with the exception of infrequent accidents here and there.  Yay!
She's becoming very independent.  The other day she asked Matt for "private seat, please"   (privacy please)...hilarious!

She loves to sing-loud, but only around us.  Otherwise, she is pretty quiet in public until she warms up.
I got this video of her singing Slippery Fish and Baby Beluga the other day.  Unfortunately, she has my complete lack of ability to carry a tune!  Zack was singing a different tune at the time...don't mind the dual sound track.
Overall, Abby is very sweet and adventurous (with many scrapes and bruises to prove it).  She is a wonderful big sister and so full of love!  She loves to read and is very empathetic.  She really gets into the emotions of the characters and  seems to feel for them good and bad.  She can tell us when she is frustrated or angry (thanks to the book "When Sophie gets angry...).
Thanks to grandma who has great costumes, she has recently gotten into dress up and loves to wear pretty dresses. Cutie!
